Lucky Dragon (1)

First Order of the Quilted Medallion - January (20)
The First Order of the Quilted Medallion started working on their medallion quilts in September. For the first three months members of the order created the appliqued and embellished center block. WA Stars Fall Challenge (34)
The Washington Stars Quilt Guild Fall Challenge required participants to make a small quilt using a letter of the alphabet and a paint chip for inspiration. The letters and paint chips were drawn at random and placed in sealed envelopes. Each participant drew a sealed envelope to begin the challenge. Perfect Plaid Placemat Challenge (33)
We challenged our customers to create the Perfect Plaid Picnic Placemat to go with our Perfect Plaid Picnic Quilt. They rose to the challenge with a picnic basket full of creativity and hearts full of charity. Many entered because they know we will forward any unclaimed placemats to the Washington Stars Quilt Guild. The Guild donates home made placemats to the "Meals on Wheels" program. These placemats would brighten any meal. No ants invited! Please make sure to click on the thumbnails to see the whole placemats. -

Walk About Class (11)
The versatile "Walk About" pattern, from Grizzly Gulch, does a great job of showcasing your favorite fabric. Check out our class listings. The quilt is deceptively easy to make and the pattern offers a choice of sizes. The Walk About Class is an excellent class for beginners. -

The Washington Stars Quilt Guild members are still challenging themselves. The theme for their Spring Challenge was "Unity Through Repetition." Quilting Buddies Class (5)
Ingredients: An adult who would like to share skills and quality time with a child. A child with curiosity and a willingness to learn. An experienced teacher who is also a passionate quilter. Mix with fabric, a sewing machine and lots of cool sewing tools. Cook up some fun. Your finished product should include lots of smiles, a delightful quilt and wonderful memories.
